The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF), a Thai Foundation focused on human security issues, is co-hosting a half-day forum with The Asia Foundation (TAF) to promote further understanding and awareness of ASEAN .

Our vision is to address the needs of communities in the framework of Human Security issues in order to create new opportunities to empower and strengthen the capacities of people. We seek to reach all levels of society from grassroots to top leaders.



1.) “Disaster Relief / Humanitarian Assistance and Security – a widely overlook issue by Christopher Ankersen, Ph.D. Chief Security and Safety Section Bangkok, United Nations Department of Safety and Security Chief, Security and Safety Section.

2.) “Girls in Disaster – case study Philippines” by Benigno C. Balgos, Lecturer,  Development Studies Program, Ateneo de Manila.

3) “Giving Children a better chance to survive natural disasters – ASEAN Safe School Initiative -” by Nghia Trinh Trong, Regional Safe School Coordinator, Plan International Asia Regional Office.
