I would certainly recommend this internship to all students who are focusing on Southeast Asia.
They will learn a lot about the region and they also get the possibility to meet many expatriates
working in Thailand. This can give them an idea where they could possibly work in the future or they
might find out that they would rather not work here.

Elana Zygman
Hello to all! My name is Elana Zygman and I am currently interning at HDFF. I come from Boston, Massachusetts, USA and I recently graduated from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, with a BA double degree in International Business and Media & Communications. I have been living in Thailand for almost a year (also as an English teacher) and I am hoping to enter the international relations field within the context of security or peace/conflict management. Working at HDFF has provided me with the opportunity explore many new contexts of the field, assume vast responsibilities and has made me even more eager to make a difference. For fun I love to travel, learn about different cultures, eat Thai food, watch movies, read and spend time with my family and friends!

Christoph Gassner
Hi there! My name is Christoph Gassner and I am currently enjoying my time in Bangkok as an Intern at HDFF. I graduated from the University of Vienna (a city you and everyone should visit, by the way)
last year with a Magister (German/Austrian equivalent to Master) in Political Science. I then moved to Jakarta, Indonesia, for 4 months where I worked as a Trainee for the Austrian Embassy. In my spare time I watch a lot of movies and TV shows, read or explore Bangkok – you know the usual. So for everyone interested in Southeast Asian Affairs and/or the workings of a smaller NGO I would recommend an Internship at HDFF.
