Workshop on "Governance & Anti-Corruption"

ON 20 September 2010 HDFF”s team Dr. Wilfried A. Herrmann and Mr. Thomas Collein conducted a half day workshop on “Role of Media in Fighting Corruption” in the framework of the recent AIT-E course ” Governance & Anti-Corruption: the Methods and Tools behind an Effective Corruption Eradication Strategy”.

During the half day workshop the trainer team conveyed the idea how to write a strategic communication plan for bodies/individuals involved in anti-corruption activities.

Additionally practical advices for working with media were given, like how to make short statements, behavior during ad-hoc interviews etc.

The high level group comprised participants from the Indian Central government as well as each one representative from the respective governments of the state of Gojarat and Mizoram. Using the small size of the group the workshop was very intensive in discussion and exchange of experiences and in the end everybody agreed to overshoot the given time frame for another 1 hour. A successful workshop which will support the participants in their work with media in the fight against corruption.
