General Management Training

“Knowledge Improves Life” – the motto of HDFF

The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) has  already trained several NGO staff and Local Authorities on the essentials of Project Management in Southern Thailand as part of an ongoing two-year EU-backed project, known as the “Incubator Project”. The project will directly train up to 1,100 participants, using HDFF-designed curriculum that was approved by the European Union.  To hear feedback from some of the participants, you may visit the following link: In order to continue to utilize this knowledge and expertise, HDFF has adapted this material for the following three workshops on General Management Skills, which are open to all employees of non-profit organizations. Please note the working language of these workshops is English, and they will be conducted in Bangkok, Thailand.

1. Project Management and Basic Risk Training

Non-profit organizations that rely on donors for financial support to maintain, expand, and create programs must be able to write strong proposals, design needs-based projects, draft LogFrames and budgets and need to have a basic idea of Monitoring and Evaluation. On top of that, a basic project risk assessment is crucial for any kind of project implementation as it helps in writing substantial assumptions in the LogFrame, thus improving the quality of proposals and subsequently the project implementation. This five-day workshop designed by HDFF seeks to build a strong understanding of the intertwined skills needed for safe project management using realistic scenario-based situations. The objectives for this training are:

  • Project / proposal design with the help of problem / objective tree
  • LogFrame as major design, implementing, monitoring and evaluation tool
  • Budgeting and planning of monitoring and evaluation of a project
  • Basic project risk management as integral part of project management
