HEAT Skills 6. Aware, Prepare, Survive – Situational Awareness and First Aid

This comprehensive life-saving training equips individuals with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), injury assessment, and choking first aid. Whether you’re a workplace safety officer, parent, teacher, security staff, Nanny or simply a concerned citizen, this course empowers you to respond quickly and confidently during medical emergencies.

Delivered by certified trainers, this highly practical training combines interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and scenario-based exercises to ensure participants walk away prepared to save lives and provide critical care before professional help arrives.

This training is open to anyone, any professions, no minimum age restriction and don’t need CPR or First Aid Training to participate in the course.

Objectives:

  • Demonstrate proper CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants in line with international standards.
  • Identify when and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.
  • Assess and manage common injuries such as bleeding, fractures, burns, and shock.
  • Recognize and respond to choking incidents using appropriate first aid techniques.
  • Apply first aid principles while ensuring scene safety and risk mitigation.
  • Build confidence to act promptly and coordinate effectively with emergency services.
