SUMMARY:Stay Safe Week Training
DESCRIPTION:SST.10 Stay Safe Week Training (4X 1 day) \nThe environments in which humanitarians\, development organizations\, and corporates work tend to change continually. As a result\, there is a growing demand for specific safety and security skill-building for implementing personnel as well as business/mission-oriented travelers. \nExperts and trainers of HDFF are aware of the differing demands\, with some security and program management looking to pick and choose topics\, while others want the opportunity to refresh their knowledge. In order to meet this need\, HDFF has designed a “Stay Safe Week (SSW)” consisting of four separate “one-day-events” on key safety and security issues relevant to general staff and travelers. \nHDFF is encouraging you to pick and choose your own schedule based on your individual interests and needs. \nWho should attend? \n\nEvery staff or business/mission-oriented traveler\nSafety and security-related NGO personnel\nNGO HR and administrative personnel\nInterested laymen\n\nWhat is included in the separate programs? \nDay 1 – Leadership in Crisis: Security Risk Assessment \nAre you able to conduct a basic safety and security assessment for programs and locations? In this session you will learn to identify risks and threats to your personnel and organization. The aim is for participants to adopt basic risk assessment techniques which allow everyone to identify fast and efficient risks and conduct a threat analysis for daily work. \nDay 2 – First Aid at the Office and in the Field \nThis certified First Aid workshop will include the latest international guidelines & protocols for CPR & First Aid. In case of political turmoil or safety\, incidents like big fires\, do you know how to evacuate your staff? Did you ever draft an evacuation plan? For small fires\, do you know how to use a fire extinguisher? This exercise is designed to teach evacuation planning and a practical hands-on fire extinguisher drill. \nDay 4 – Incident Management/Incident Reporting & Communication in Crisis \nInternal reporting and external communication are key elements of general personnel’s work. But do you know how to report a safety/security incident properly? Do you know how to make a short statement to the press in a crisis? Practical exercises and simple guidelines will help general personnel handle these challenges appropriately. \nAll sessions will be facilitated by a combination of HDFF trainers\, as well as key professionals in the security and humanitarian sector. Participants are welcome to attend as many sessions as they like\, reflecting their own or their organization’s needs. \nCosts: \n160 US$ per day \nMultiple booking discounts: \nBook 2 days: $290 USD \nBook 3 days: $430 USD \nBook 4 days: $560 USD \nThese discounts apply to individuals booking different courses throughout the week. SUMMARY:Results-Based Project Management (RBPM)
DESCRIPTION:Many (national) organizations that rely on donors for financial support to maintain\,  expand\, and create programs must be able to write strong proposals\, design needs-based projects\, draft LogFrames and budgets\, and have a basic idea of Monitoring and  Evaluation. On top of that\, a basic project risk assessment is crucial for any kind of project implementation. It helps in writing substantial assumptions in the LogFrame\, thus improving the quality of proposals and the project implementation.  This four-day workshop designed by HDFF seeks to build a strong understanding of the intertwined skills needed for safe project management using realistic scenario-based situations.   \nObjectives:  \n\nProject/proposal design with the help of problem/objective tree  \nLogFrame as a major design\, implementation\, monitoring\, and evaluation tool \nBudgeting and planning of the monitoring and evaluation of a project  \nBasic project risk management as an integral part of project management  \n\nDates: 30th September – 4th October \nLocation: Bangkok\, Thailand \nCost: $940 USD – Early Bird Discount (until 6 Sep\, 2024) \n$1\,040 USD Regular Price (before Sep 23rd\, 2024)

SUMMARY:Monitoring\, Evaluation\, Accountability and Learning (M.E.A.L.)
DESCRIPTION:Monitoring should be considered as an attitude underpinning everything you do. In Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) one can get lost in forests of sophisticated Excel tables and endless data collection tools\, and nearly drown in oceans of monitoring books treating it as a separate and sophisticated science. The more one gets into the topic\, the more complex it appears and the more overwhelmed and confused one becomes. Therefore\, HDFF with its experience in M&E as impact evaluators designed an easy-to-understand 4.5-day MEAL course focusing on core tools and experience. \nObjectives: \n\nTo help participants understand leadership basics\nTo increase understanding of the essence of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)\nTo increase the ability to differentiate between Monitoring and Evaluation\nTo apply practical M&E tools (LogFrame & indicators)\nTo help participants understand the learning process going along with M&E\n\nDate:  30 Sept. – 04 Oct 2024 \nLocation: Bangkok\, Thailand \nCost: Regular Price -$ 970 USD \nEarly Bird  -$ 820 USD
