The session started with a welcome remark from Mr.Henning Glaser from CPG and with an introduction by Dr. Duc Quang Ly mentioning about the result of the German election 2025. He also mentioned about the past German Government Traffic Light Coalition and that the result of the elections is that the Traffic light Coalition of Social Democratic party (SPD) , Grüne and Free Democratic Party has significantly dropped. and Dr.Duc Quang added up more information on the raising of the Far Rights Alternative For Germany (AFD) that in 2025 got more votes because their policy against Immigrants. Then Dr.Carstensen pointed out that the raising of popularity vote of AFD shows that there is a very high dissatisfaction with immigrant policies. Professor Sturm added up that AFD got most vote from young voters means that AFD has archived access to young voters via Internet and Social Media. On the other side the Traffic Light Coalition government had low leaning as they used old ways. This estrangement towards the AFD mirrors a policy similar to president Donald Trump with similar concerns like Germany First. Then Dr. Carstensen added more concern about 60 year old people as this passed the Nazis era. The Identification of AFD by unemployed people that gave a high share to the AFD party. Yet a possible coalition between CDU and AFD will be not realistic because of a different policy and ideology. After that the event continued with audience questions.
