ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community 2015 

“Historical and Cultural Challenges & Perspectives: Elements of a Southeast Asian Common Identity”

The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF), a Thai Foundation focused on human security issues, is co-hosting a half-day forum with The Asia Foundation (TAF) to promote further understanding and awareness of ASEAN integration 2015. In its October session, HDFF’s Chairman’s Circle will focus on the cultural and historical perspectives of ASEAN member states. The forum aims to address the major current trends and challenges impacting the social and cultural aspects of ASEAN members. Our expert panel will explore common & shared histories, demographic trends, and education achievements & challenges in ASEAN. Understanding these elements is crucial in the move towards a common Southeast Asian identity.
